Abstract Review Procedure

Abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizers for inclusion into the program, and authors will be notified accordingly.

The authors should review complete details of all speaker/poster presenter guidelines and deadlines given in this web site. Incomplete abstracts will be returned to the author for corrections and resubmission. Conference organizers reserve the right to edit abstracts.

Definition of an Acceptable Abstract

All abstracts must be submitted in English by email or through website www.worldnutra.com/abstract.shtml. For email submissions, the preferred formats are WordPerfect or Word (DOS, Windows) (Margins: 1.2" - Font: Arial 12pt. - single spacing).

Abstracts must be limited to the space provided on the abstract form. The abstract should include a full title, and be typed and single-spaced. Original research abstracts should be informative and should include the following information:

  • Statement of thesis
  • Why the study is important
  • What was done to test the thesis
  • How the research was structured
  • Results

Statements such as "results will be presented" or "will be discussed" are not acceptable. Improperly written abstracts will be published by title only. Commercially oriented abstracts will be rejected. Tables and artwork are not allowed in abstracts and will not be printed.

Publication Rights

Conference management reserves first publication rights on all papers, regardless of presentation format. A release from conference management must be obtained by authors wishing to publish elsewhere. The submission of a paper to another publication prior to scheduled presentation in either format can cause cancellation.

Poster Presentations

Poster presentations will be an integral part of the conference. Space will be available for the display of poster papers for authors who would like this opportunity for more personal interaction with interested parties. The display area is accessible and comfortable; however, only flat posters and non-electrical displays will be permitted. The poster presenter is responsible for setup and takedown. Thumbtacks and tape will be provided. The poster board and information to be presented are the responsibility of the presenter.

POSTER BOARD SIZE: 4 ft tall x 8 ft wide.

Deadline

Abstracts can be submitted either by completing the attached abstract form or by mailing the abstract to the address listed below. Late submissions will be added to the program at the discretion of the Organizers and as space in the program allows.
